Tailgate Briefings
Every crew begins with a mandatory pre-job safety meeting — identifying hazards, reviewing the plan, and confirming every team member understands their role before a single tool is lifted.
Safety Record · British Columbia · Est. 2019
Lost-time incidents
Five years of operations. Not a single one.
Our Promise
At Vacterra, safety isn't something we think about at the end of a job — it shapes every plan, every crew brief, every decision. In five years of operations across British Columbia, we haven't had a single lost-time incident. Not because we were fortunate, but because we built a system that doesn't leave safety to chance.
From the moment a crew arrives on site to the moment they leave, every action follows a process designed to protect our people, our clients, and the communities we work in.
How We Work
Every crew begins with a mandatory pre-job safety meeting — identifying hazards, reviewing the plan, and confirming every team member understands their role before a single tool is lifted.
Hard hats, high-visibility vests, steel-toe boots, and all required personal protective equipment are mandatory on every site, every day. No exceptions, no excuses.
Before any work begins, our supervisors complete a formal site assessment — identifying underground utilities, environmental conditions, and any factor that could put crew or public at risk.
Every team member holds current first aid certification. Our rigs carry full emergency kits and response procedures are rehearsed regularly across all crews and dispatch.
If conditions are unsafe, work stops — full stop. No schedule, deadline, or client pressure overrides our commitment to our people. This policy has never been bent. It never will be.
